Re: West Ham United granted permission for London Stadium capacity increase
I was at two of the three - midweeks are a fucking ag although they were at UP so not the OS's fault.

It can be loud, for sure, but it's all gone a bit samey with the songs don't you think?

We even seem to have this odd clapping thing now that people do with no song, that gets an airing a couple of times a game and pissed me off as it is muggy, stand up etc gets sung as does bubbles and Antonio if he scores.

The spontaneity and wit of chants or random shouts has gone a bit though, so it depends what folk want from an atmosphere. For me it is more than just being loud though.

I was a BML Chicken Run and Chav Corner STH for donkeys so probably spoiled in that regard.

But as I said, it is getting better - the Leicester game was great as was Ys on Sunday considering they are notoriously quiet anyway and Chelsea in the cup a few seasons back was great.

I am upper tier at the moment but trying to move to the BML as it does look jumping and young woody tells me it is decent.

Got an ST again in anticipation of those fucking cunts selling up but they've not gone yet. Could only get upper tier but actually we have pretty decent seats.

Pro tip: Get seats on the corner flags as the views are good and you don't feel miles away as you don't notice the GAPS - just don't look to your left or right.

PML was better until we had to wait 30 mins for Leicester and I nearly missed my train back to the car in Didcot but slipping in the Stratford queue rather than go west helps with that.

I'm not going to lie and say it is fucking amazing when I don't think it is, but I also don't feel the need to have to go I was wrong because I think it is improving and I'm enjoying it more.

Wrong about what? It has been fucking shit over there and every home game someone somewhere has a moan up about queuing, stewarding or pricing so clearly folk are not happy BUT I wouldn't go if I wasn't enjoying it more.

I'm just not buying that all the faults over there are gone just because we're doing well.

As I said I shouldn't be criticised for saying it was raining yesterday because it is sunny today as it might rain again tomorrow, that seems a very warped way of framing discussion and also gifts the always happy bods with some made up gift of clairvoyance - NO ONE knew how it would pan out but it certainly wasn't looking good for a few seasons.

Even the most ardent OSers have admitted that to me over the last few years.

It is getting better is as good as it going to get from me at the moment, but that's better than saying it is fucking shit surely which is what I used to say?!

"The atmosphere in the stadium is getting better, but it is a pain in the arse to get in and out of so people rock up early and stay late which the stadium owners have clocked hence the ridiculously high prices."

It's comments like this that where it screams that you just can't hold your hands up. The atmosphere this season, especially the Leicester, Rapid and Spurs games, has been up there with anything from the UP days and I honestly mean that. Loud as fuck and with intensity. Did you go to any of these?

Why mention it's a pain in the arse to get on and out of? It was you who first mentioned on here that going via pudding mill was the best way, and it is. I'm on my train at Stratford (or more often in the little driver) within 10-15 minutes. It's also the much more edgy route given the away fans come via this way and also the fact of the underpasses and surrounding waste land, so it baffles me when I read / hear people moaning about the queues, Westfield and lollypops, when you can just come this way.

Basically, why can't you admit you have got it wrong and it's been proven that the LS can match UP for atmosphere and it's turning out to be nowhere near as bad as first feared? It's a good thing to be wrong about! At the very least be more positive about it rather than the constant bitching. I've said this to you before but it was this that lost you credit when you tried to warn us about the owners and the lies about the stadium. People, including myself, just saw the relentless bitching and negatively and lost sight of the valid points you were making.

And so we’re back to you claiming a win with your bullshit “we got there in the end” comment against an argument no one was having.

If you want to go with that be me guest, quite why you would is beyond me though.

I didnt directly reply to your post, you have just assumed i did and then got all worked up about it..... i might not of been replying to anyones post.

Re: West Ham United granted permission for London Stadium capacity increase
I think you were replying to me Rossal because you actually replied to my post, it's kind of how message boards work.

Rather than being deliberately vague, why don't you nail me down and say who you were aiming your silly comments at then?

Blimey and you called me precious. Calm down a little, and just read it all back....as i said to do earlier. I think you think I was replying or aiming it at you. Not sure why

"Have we applied/or planning to for safe standing?"

Didn't Gold say a while ago that we'd be one of the first if this ever was introduced?

So you can bet anything you like that we haven't applied.

Re: West Ham United granted permission for London Stadium capacity increase
Ah, you're trying to be a clever dick aren't you? What a shame you've failed though.

Earlier in the thread we were talking about the ground not being full for TOTTENHAM - this was because a) it was easy to see it wasn't and b) there were many tickets on ticket trader so it couldn't have possibly been.

That conversation has NOTHING to do with last night's MAN CITY game where the ground looked a lot fuller, if not completely full because a) all the tickets had sold out unlike Tottenham and b) it looks like everyone actually showed up.

This is why NO ONE made any claim about the fullness of the ground last night.

Cue you skipping in arrogantly claiming "we got there in the end" for no apparent reason other than you not understanding the English language and not realising that something that happened on Sunday is DIFFERENT to something that happened on Wednesday.

But you claim your win "Champ" and skip off in to the sunset. Well done.

No one has claimed it wasn't full have they?

Rossal 1:26 Thu Oct 28
Re: West Ham United granted permission for London Stadium capacity increase
But the ground was FULL last night, there wasn't any pockets of empty seats

Thing that confused me was that there is about 4500 seats for us still to gain access too but it didnt look like that many were covered last night.....
